A Case of Lactate Dehydrogenase-M Subunit Variant

Abstract

|
|
Multiple abnormal bands of lactate dehydrogenase isozyme were observed in serum of 57-year-old man with bullous disease of lung and alcoholic liver disease by electrophoresis. The LD- 1, -2, -3 isozyme revealed 1, 2, 3, bands, respectively. The LD-4 and LD -5 isozymes shows multiple bands. This pattern is consistent with LD-M subunit variant
